The Best Way to Invest in your Leaders this Summer

The summer is great for ministers as it provides a lot of different options for you. In fact, I like to use the summer in a completely different way than during the school year. I like to change programming options and hang out with students a lot more as they are more available over the summer. But, of all the things I really enjoying doing over the summer, vision casting with my leaders is one of my favorite things to do and one of the best ways you can invest in your leaders.

Why is that? Watch this video to see.

Over the years doing ministry, I have done a variety of things over the summer months to get ready for the fall and the school year. However, one of the priorities I make each summer is to invest in the leaders. When I think of investing, I think of prioritizing time with them and casting vision. Where are you going as a ministry and what are you doing moving forward?

When you cast vision over the summer it helps get you all on the same page and provides guidance for your leaders on what they can focus on. The more time you can invest in your leaders this way, the more likely your fall is going to start off strong. And, the stronger your fall starts the more likely you will be able to keep the positive momentum going so that your ministry year has the potential for the most impact over the course of the entire year.
