What were you doing in 1997? Were you born yet? In elementary school? Middle School or High School? College or beyond?

In September of 1997 I started my first full-time ministry position. I was a middle school intern and made $15,000 a year with no insurance. But I loved it! I was doing what I loved and wanted. I am not unlike many people who started doing student ministry. We all start ministry with a passion and excitement to change the world. However, not all of us make it 2 years yet alone 20+ years in ministry. Why is that?
