Contact Work Ideas during the Winter

Football season is one of my favorite times of year. Not only do I get to watch my favorite teams as fall comes ushering in, but it is a great opportunity for contact work with students. There is nothing like

But, now that football season is over in most of the country, where do you go to find teens and do contact work with them? Watch this video below.

Here are a few ideas:

  1. Find other student activities to go to. Even though football season is over, that doesn’t end all school actives for the year. You can go to basketball games, choir events, drama performances or other indoor sports activities.
  2. Go indoors. Winter means cold.  That means teens stay inside. So find those cool indoor places that they would normally go to. You can go to the mall or hit popular places like laser tag.
  3. Create a Hangout.  Let’s be honest everyone loves a party…especially teens. Get your core students involved and have them invite their friends along to something cool at a your church or a student’s house.

Three simple things you can do this winter to do contact work with students.  But those aren’t the only things you can do.
