Why Your Ministry Should Try Out Facebook Messenger Rooms

Did you know that before the coronavirus, Zoom’s top daily active users was 10 million people? That was their top month to average that much. That’s impressive. But did you know that in March 2020 their daily average users SPIKED to 200 million?!? Now that is crazy.

Video conferencing has gone from nice to have but not really needed to 100% necessary. Even when the coronavirus fades and more and more people are out and about, video conferencing will be here to stay.

Enter Facebook Messenger Rooms. In this video below you will discover why your ministry should consider using Facebook Rooms for your ministry purposes.

While Zoom is really cool and a lot of people are on it, guess what? Even more people are on Facebook. And because of that, even more people will be able to connect with you in a Facebook Messenger Room.

In the video, I highlighted you can use Facebook Rooms for events such as Parents Meetings. But you can use it for more. You could use it to Bible studies, for other group discussions

Oh and if Facebook Messenger Rooms isn’t a good fit for you and your ministry, try using Instagram Messenger Rooms. It’s basically the same thing, just on Instagram. So try using Instagram to implement the same thing you would do on Facebook with your group. It’s an opportunity that should be looked at since a ton of students are on Instagram much more than Facebook.

Facebook just upped the video conferencing game by offering Messenger Rooms. You may choose not to use it long term, but at the very least you should try it out and see how many more people you can reach and connect with.

What do you think? Have you tried out Messenger Rooms yet? What do you think? Share your thoughts or experiences below or on social media using #ymsidekick when you share.
