Children’s Min Q of the Month: What format do you use?

Being a new person to the whole children ministry thing, I am beginning to discover the different ways you can do a Sunday morning program.

There is Large Group – get everyone together and do a big program and teaching from a video such as KidMo or do a 252 style curriculum.

There is Small Group – this is your traditional Sunday School format.  Break all the children up by grades and give them a teacher to work with them and teach them a lesson.

There could be a hybrid of both Large Group and Small Group methods where you use a little bit of both and create your own model.

What do you use and why?  TAKE A MINUTE and respond so we can all benefit.

Large Group vs. Small Group format or both?

We run a hybrid large group / small group formats across all ministry programs. They look different for each age group, but it's built into our ministry philosophy as a church.

That's cool…do you use a video series at all for your kidmin program? like KidMo?
