Understanding Social Media and the Big 5
Doing a lot of online and social media, I follow a lot of the Social Media Marketing Gurus and their blogs. One of the best sites out there is Social Media Examiner. Each day they have a ton of great info on how to understand and optimize your brand in social media. But there are many other social media marketing blogs out there that are great as well such as We are Social and the ones below.
One post that I saw recently by Social Media Examiner was entitled “How to Optimize Your Content for the Top 5 Social Networks“. It talks about understanding the Top 5 social media networks and how you can use them effectively for your brand. Another good one is “Twitter: A How-to Guide for Brands“.
As Churches and Ministries, social media is a must to communicate effectively in this digital world. There is no question. The problem is too many don’t know how to effectively engage the community within each network. That is why this blog post and the blogs below are so helpful. It’s almost like Social Media 101 everyday.

As with anything, you will have to tailor what you get out of it to your particular ministry, but it has been extremely helpful for me…especially understanding the point of the big 5 social media outlets.
