Have you heard about Causely yet?

A few weeks ago I got to attend Exponential in Tampa, FL.  Well, I didn’t actually attend, I was working on the Social Media team.  But still, I was there…running around like a chicken who had their head cut off…but still there.

One of the things I enjoy most out of attending conferences is to see all the different organizations there who are promoting their stuff. One of them I discovered was an organization named “Causley“.  Have you heard about Causely yet?

If not, Causely “helps churches reach more people and do real world good using Facebook check-ins”.  That is their line.  How do they help your church and do real world good?  Simply…by you checking in at your church (as long as your church is connected to Causely), they will donate food or water to those in need around the world!

For instance, during Exponential one day you would see something like this post from a Facebook status, “Today’s cause: 5 check-ins equals a meal for a child in need! Do good with Causely! — at Exponential.

Honestly, how cool is that!?!  I think very cool.

Now, there is a price that you, the organization or the church, pays to help with this cause.  For instance…Screen Shot 2015-05-09 at 5.05.07 PM

It was easier to post that then type it out. 🙂

I know the price may be a little more than you’d be expect.  But even with the price per month, think about all the good you can do by helping others in need.  You could consider it some what of a tithe from your Church.  You are giving money each month so people around the world can be helped.

In addition to this, it can also be a great way to have people hear about your Church.  I know you aren’t helping others to win “support” from others. But it is a potential benefit to your church can be great as every time someone checks in on Facebook, your Church gets highlighted and someone may wonder, “if this church does good for others like this, maybe I should check them out”.

It’s a win-win for everyone AND it’s a great way to use social media to help others.

So what do you think?  Have you heard of Causely before or had any experiences with them?  Share below or on social media so we can see how we an help others using social media.
