Taking advantage of the Opportunities around you
There are some opportunities that you have to really work for…that you have to make happen. And then there are some that just drop in your lap. Pokemon Go is that opportunity. Check out my experience on a Thursday morning at 9:30 am during the summer.
This experience was just a real quick reminder to take advantage of the opportunities that present themselves to us as churches and ministers. Don’t sit on the sidelines wondering when this “cultural phenomenon” will go away. Take advantage of it right now and get in the game. The reality is that you will never know what will take off and what won’t. But you also don’t want to be kicking yourself a month down the line thinking you wished you would have done something earlier.
So what are you waiting for? Get in the game now. Look around you. It may be something completely different than Pokemon Go that is happening in your local area or it could be of national and interests. Seek to discover what those opportunities are and then take advantage of them as they present themselves to you.
