#SMVWeek17 is coming next week
Last year a group of ministers and I embarked on the first ever Summer Ministry Vlog Week (#SMVWeek16). It was awesome to have that great group of people making videos to share with others. As we discovered last year, this year’s Summer Ministry Vlog Week will be another great opportunity for some awesome ministry bloggers, podcasters, and friends to get behind the camera and communicate some ministry lessons via video. Some of the ministers participating this year participated last year and have been vlogging for a little bit. So, between August 7th – 11th, my fellow bloggers will use video to communicate their content to all of us. Each of us will focus on a different topic and they will bring their unique insights to the camera to share it with everyone.
This year we are excited to announce the lineup for this year’s Summer Ministry Vlog Week coming up August 7-11.
Who else is participating and what are they talking about?
- Stan Rodda has been in ministry for a very long time and currently serves as the Campus Pastor for New Life Christian Church in Gainesville, VA. Stan does a weekly podcast on leadership as well as co-host to the Lead from Second Facebook group.
- Ben Kerns is a great Student Ministry veteran who blogs regularly here. Not only does he blog about student ministry issues but he writes books as well!
- Christopher Wesley is another Student Ministry veteran and shares that knowledge on his blog, his books and through Marathon Youth Ministry Consultation and Consulting.
- Cory Sullivan has worked in Student Ministry for a number of years serving in a variety of roles and positions. He has a huge heart to reach the lost. This is Cory’s first time doing a the vlog week. You can read his blog here.
Beginning August 7th, you can find each of their vlogs for the week on their sites or click #SMVWeek17 for the list on Twitter.
So, what do you think? Are you ready to watch some videos instead of just reading them? I hope so as it will be a great week filled with some awesome videos. Share your thoughts below or on social media using the #SMVWeek17 to join the conversation.
