Why the Apple One Bundle is Great for your Student Ministry
In the past I have talked about why Apple Arcade is a great investment for your Student Ministry. Now, they have lumped in music stream (Apple Music), a TV streaming platform (Apple TV+), a gaming service (Apple Arcade) and iCloud storage into one VERY AFFORDABLE service called Apple One.
The breakdown is simple:
- Individual: $14.95/month – Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, 50 GB iCloud
- Family: $19.95/month – Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, 200 GB iCloud
- Premier: $30/month – Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, 1 TB iCloud, Apple News+, Apple Fitness+
The key difference between individual/family and premier is that with Premier you get more iCloud storage, Fitness+ and Apple News+.
So, why you should get it for your Student Ministry?
- You are likely paying for a music streaming service anyways. Whether you have Spotify, Pandora, Amazon Music or something else, you already likely paying close to, if not more than, $9.99 for just music. Add in the tv, gaming and iCloud storage and you are saving money. Apple Music has great selections of music and competes very well with the other major players in music streaming.
- Apple TV+ already has some good movies and specials on it (they just got all the Charlie Brown specials and more) and they are just getting started on creating and developing more good content. Not everything is age appropriate but there is enough you can choose from and there will be more to come down the road.
- Apple Arcade is still relatively new but it has a variety of games. Here is a list of best games on Apple Arcade now. And here is a list of the best multiplayer games you can play with others. Apple is constantly creating new games for this platform so it is only going to get better.
- Cloud storage is so important these days. Whether you get the Individual with 50 GB or the Premier with 1 TB, that is a lot of storage you can have on the cloud that is included in the overall price. Cloud storage is money right now so to have it included in the overall price of a great bundle makes it worth it.
- If you have multiple staffers on your Student Ministry team, you can create a “Family” and get the “Family” share so you can spread the subscription services across other devices. It’s an even greater value.
Conclusion
Whether there is a pandemic or not, it is always good to be frugal with your money in your budget. Apple One is a great investment for your student ministry where you get 4 young and developing services that will be great for you and your ministry. The best thing about it all is that you are saving money with this purchase. The more money you save in this area, the more you can spend in other necessary areas of your ministry. It’s a fantastic bundle service that would be ideal for any student ministry program. Take a look at it and see if it will help you.
