We live in a phygital world today. It’s part in person and part online. And that is going to be how it is for a long time, regardless of whether or not there is a pandemic around. So if we live in a phygital world today, one way to best meet and minister is to do a phygital event.
But how? How do you do a phygital event today? You can watch this video, listen to the podcast version of it or read the bullet points below.
How does it work:
- Create the “in person” event. It can be big or small, whatever you think it is that your community will want to come to.
- Use social media and other online tools to promote the event and keep people engaged leading up to the event. Use a QR code at Church to get people to connect to a Facebook Group specifically dedicated to the event. Use that Group to promote and encourage community leading up to that time.
- Put on the “in person” event.
- While at the event, stream it live and have an “Online Host” that engages people online and has other “camera” people moving around the event to help those experiencing it online have a great time.
Creating and doing a Phygital event at your Church or for your ministry can be a really great way to engage your community today.
