How Adding Hashtags to YouTube Videos Increases Reach

I LOVE hashtags. They are powerful tools that help you organically reach others for whatever you are posting. But there are many other reasons you can and should use hashtags as a minister (read about it here).

While hashtags are very popular on Twitter, Instagram and TikTok, they have been absent from YouTube. Until now. In this video below and podcast you will learn how to add them and how they can help you expand your reach for your videos.

So, how do you add them to your YouTube videos? All you have to do is simply include them at the bottom of your description. I would suggest 1-3 fo them. When you add them, the will appear below your video and above the title.

Adding hashtags to YouTube videos provide an additional, organic (aka FREE) way to reach more people. For instance, if someone clicks on a hashtag you are using on your video, it greatly increases the chance that your video might get discovered by someone else. This is great for Churches to use when they share various content on YouTube. And, it creates an additional way other than tags that they can use to get discovered on YouTube. And, with every discovery, creates an opportunity for someone to discover God and Jesus maybe for the first time.
