Sometimes…

Sometimes so much goes on in life that you wonder what the heck…

Sometimes life doesn’t make sense…

Sometimes you have to make really hard decisions, decisions you wished someone else could make…

Sometimes you look your child in the eyes and wish you could cry too…

Sometimes you are told you need to do things or feel certain ways, but they don’t understand…

Sometimes people think they know you, but they don’t have the foggiest idea…

Sometimes you ask God, “where are you”…

Sometimes you listen to a Taylor Swift song and think, “boy can I relate” (come on, you know you can relate)…

Sometimes things end and that’s ok…

Sometimes life doesn’t work out how you had it planned…

Sometimes you wish you could have just one more vanilla latte or snickers bar…

But, it’s what you do with those sometimes that makes…

you stronger than you ever thought you could be…

you more empathetic and less judgmental…

you laugh at and appreciate the simplest things…

you are able to stand back and say, “Oh hey God, you were always there”…

you wake up every morning, take a deep breath, move forward and accept things as they are, knowing that God has something bigger for you to do, something you couldn’t have even dreamed of…

Life is full of sometimes, too many sometimes some time. But those sometimes shape who we are and I believe if we are open to where God leads us, it will be those sometimes that leave a lasting legacy. I hope you use your sometimes as opportunities and trust God to guide you through them. He will. He has for me.
