Orange Week: Why I go to Orange Conference

Over 3 years ago, when I started really looking into how the family and the church could come together, I got exposed to the “Orange Handbook” and saw the strategy of Orange and what reThink offers (the strategy I’ll talk about in another post this week).  That led me on a great journey where I began to try new ideas and learn from others who are trying to incorporate families in with the church.  That Journey led me to the Orange Conference where for the past 2 years, I have been exposed to…

  • great new ideas and thoughts on how to do ministry
  • a network of other children, youth and family ministers who are actively seeking out how to best minister to families
  • fantastic hands-on curriculum

Now, I know reThink isn’t the only one offer the “Orange” idea, but I do know that when I go to the Orange Conference, I get revitalized and energized in a way that I have never been at a youth conference before. That is why I go to the Orange Conference and why I am going back for my 3rd consecutive year this April.

If you have never been and are still curious about why you should go to Orange this year, check out this video below of others and why they went.  Then sign up here so that you can hopefully have the same experience.
