Christmas Break

December is a very busy month.  Not only are there tons of parties and celebrations but the shopping and the students getting ready for winter break make for a very busy time of year.

Christmas BreakAs a Student Ministry Team you can get caught up in all the festivities as well.  There are church parties, Staff partiers, Student Ministry Christmas parties along with potentially year end Leader Christmas Parties (do you do one?).

With all the busyness of the Christmas season, there is an opportunity between Christmas and New Years for a little breather.  The question is, do you take it?  Do you/are you able to relax and enjoy your friends and family during that week or do you continue to work hard and go to work?  There is nothing wrong with working hard by any means, but I hope you are able and take some time to relax and be with your family during this time because the new year is right around the corner and parents and students are going to be needing you at your best.

What do you think? What do you do during your Christmas break? How do you unwind after a busy month?  Share your experiences below or on social media using #ymsidekick when you share.
