the Social Sidekick: How Social Media Savvy are you?

SocialMediaIconcollage-300x203Social Media is where it is at with students.  And it’s not just one platform.  It’s a bunch of them.  Whether it’s Facebook (which is supposedly dying amongst teens), Twitter, Pintrest, Instagram, Snap Chat (which has serious privacy issues) or some other form of social media, social media is here to stay.

Because our students are involved in them, we should be too.  But which ones?  What forms of Social Media are you engaged in?  How involved are you with them?  Do you have a Student Ministry Facebook page?  Instagram account?  Twitter account?  If you simply discount teens social media behavior and involvement as a fad, you are missing a huge opportunity to minster and interact with them.

At the very least, I recommend that you be involved in 3 different forms.  But, I am curious to see who is using what and how many different forms.  So, take the poll below.  And, if you have any thoughts, experiences or comments, TAKE A MINUTE and share below so we can all benefit.
