Keeping our Eyes open to what God is doing

July and August have been brutal months for me financially.  Nothing catosprophic but a lot of extra expenses have left me scrapping by.  A vacation, fall sports sign ups and back to school items have all added up.

So I started praying that God would provide because I had no way to come up with extra cash to get me through September.  In a matter of a few days, there were 2 different instances where extra cash just came my way.  One in the form of helping out with a side project (just a few hours but I get paid for it) and the other a random, unexpected gift.  In both instances, I believe that those were direct blessings from God.

So what’s the point of me sharing this with you?

Searching_for_something_IIThe point is this, I believe that God is working all around us and is providing us opportunities all over for us to minister and experience His blessings.  In fact, I believe many people would say the same thing.  The problem is, I don’t know that we are always looking for God to act or do something.  Therefore we miss the blessings that He has for us.

It’s easy to do, believe me…I’ve done it so much.  In fact, if I wasn’t actively praying and really stressing about my money situation, I don’t know if I would have fully seen the money I received as a real blessing from God.  But isn’t it funny that when you are actively looking for God and where He is working, you’ll be amazed at what you see.

God is working.  God is doing something all the time.  We just have to keep our eyes open, actively looking for what God is doing so we can experience His blessings and provisions.

How have you seen God bless you or a situation?
