iMinistry Conference Day 2 Recap

Day 2 at the iMinistry Conference centered around Round Table discussions. The Round Table  discussions are opportunities for a Facilitator to lead a discussion topic in which everyone gets to participate and share what they are doing and learning about that subject.

Unknown-3For starters, I went to the Measure and Adjust Round Table.  There we discussed a variety of issues, but it primarily focused on what do churches measure and how.  There were a wide variety of aspects churches measure ranging from worship attendance, 1st timers, new believers, time on site, bounce rate, giving, invites and prayer requests.

The big takeaway I got from that is with some many possibilities for you to minister, you have to figure out what really matters for you and your church and measure that.  It could be whatever it is you want to measure that will effectively tell you whether or not you are being successful in your ministry.

Then, I went to hear about Platforms and Providers of Online Media.  That was interesting as we got to discuss what is working and what is needed.  Ultimately, having a good chat service with your online streaming is vital but it became apparent that no provider has EVERYTHING Churches are looking for.  That is not a bad thing, it is just is what it is.  One day there will be an all-in-one provider, but that isn’t just yet.

Whether it is children, families, students or everyone in general, finding the right platform to meet your needs and the right way to measure your impact will always be vital in being successful in reaching people online.

What is it that you measure in your ministry and if you are doing online ministry, what platform or provider do you use to show your ministry events/services?
