How Orange Resources can help your Ministry

When I first started out in student ministry, resources for student ministers were at a bare minimum. Of course that was 1997 and Youth Specialities was THE primary source for great content. And while Youth Specialities is still a great resource, there is no shortage for quality student ministry resources out there. There are a ton of resources these days!

So how do you sort through all the resources to determine what is best for you? It’s tough as there are many factors that go into deciding this. What I have determined to be best for me and my ministry is to go with Orange. When I initially think or Orange, I think of the Orange Conference. However, Orange is much bigger than that and can really help your minister. Here are the reasons why and why I think it could be best for you as well.

When you sign up for the Orange Curriculum, you get a Specialist assigned to you to help you work though and tailor the curriculum to your specific ministry. This is such a great resource to have as this person knows you, knows your Church and can help you. This isn’t something very few resource groups offer and it cannot be understated how great it is to have this person help you.

They can work with you on money. Not only do they offer you a FREE trial but they will work with you on making it happen for your ministry. It’s not a one price fits all model as pricing is determined by your needs and church size. It is a great option to have.

Regardless of whether you use the curriculum or now, Orange offers a variety of other resources that can really help your ministry. They have a ton of great books available including the newest one “Don’t Quit“. One of the most helpful books I have utilized for my ministry has been the “It’s Just a Phase” book. Here is an update on what Orange is doing with the book and the phases. All in all, the books are amazing resources that will really help your ministry.

Curriculum and books are great resources to have. However, if you have limited budget money, Orange also offers a variety of help and support through their blog content. They have wonderful contributors who are in the trenches doing ministry just like all the other ministers at big and small churches. The blogs are great to encourage and inspire ministers of all age ranges. You can check out the many different blog posts here, including their audio blog.

All of the great resources and help you get from Orange all starts with the Orange Conference. As someone who has been to a lot of conferences over my time in ministry, Orange puts on the best conference I’ve ever been to. Every year they meet with thousands of family, student and children ministers from all over the world to put on an amazing conference filled with tons of insights from the experts and those in the trenches. It’s a unique blend of training and encouragement that will surely inspire you. Even if you can’t make the conference, every fall they simplify it a little and do the Orange Tour. At the conference and the tour you will be able to see first hand the wide variety of resources and specialties that are there to help you and your ministry.

Conclusion

More than just the Orange ConferenceOrange has a ton to offer you and your ministry. And the perfect way to experience it all is at the Orange Conference or the Orange Tour. Those are great places to experience all the resources first hand and the good news is that you can sign up for the Orange Conference here and save some money. But, even if you can’t make it to the conference or the tour, their variety of resources will be a great edition to your ministry resource library as you take it and apply it into your context.

Have you ever used any of the Orange Resources or been to the Orange Conference before? What has been your experience?  Share below or on social media using #ymsidekick when you post.
