2 Ways to Go LIVE on YouTube that Supports Your Ministry

I really like using YouTube. Not only do I use it for ministry purposes like devotionals, but I also use it to share ministry tips and tools. While I have used it in a variety of ways, there was one thing I always wanted to try. That was to go LIVE or even do a YouTube “Youth Group” for my ministry but never had the time with all the other things I was doing. Not an excuse, just the reality of the way we were doing ministry. Well, considering the coronavirus has really caused so many ministers to rethink the way we can minister, not just now, but in the future, I have finally had the time and bandwidth to go LIVE on YouTube and try out YouTube Live and Premiere.

Considering so many people are watching YouTube today, we are going to look at the value of adding a YouTube Live or Premier event to your ministry and what you can do with it regardless of what his happening in the world today.

Why go Live or do a Preimier instead of just posting your video on YouTube? Because it provides you an opportunity to interact with people watching it. You create a watch party and excitement around that event. When you do it LIVE it is actually happening at that moment, you are streaming it LIVE. But when you use Premier, you can pre-record content and share it there. Regardless of the way you do it, they are both events that you can live chat and interact with people while the event is going on.

How does it support your ministry? It provides you a way to get your content out. For instance,

  • Student Ministers – Youth Group online or devotionals
  • Worship Ministers – Worship sets together
  • Children Ministers – Object lessons
  • Creative Arts Ministers – Share bumper videos, testimonials, or other videos they do or have done for the Church.

These are just some of the examples as there are bound to be so many more. And the great thing about it is, you can do this no matter what is happening in the world. Whether it is a crisis or you just want it as a support to your ministry, going live on YouTube with either YouTube Live and Premier can definitely help.
